Forza Motorsport release date
Announced as being "in early stages of development" in July 2020, all eyes have been on Forza Motorsport for the last three years.
Turn 10's track racer was given a Spring 2023 release window in late 2022, but this was soon revised to just "2023". We finally have a firm release date for the reignition of the Xbox-exclusive franchise.
During the Xbox Games Showcase, Turn 10 announced that Forza Motorsport will launch on 10 October 2023 for Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game will be available on day one on Xbox Game Pass, but PC players can also buy it on Steam.
There is also a Premium Edition that grants players five days early access.
Forza Motorsport release time
We know the release date, but what time can you play Forza Motorsport?
Forza Motorsport will unlock on Xbox Series X|S, Windows and Game Pass at 12:01am local time on 10 October. The Steam version will unlock at 12:01am EDT. New Zealand players will get access first due to time zone differences.

Preload
If you want to be ready for launch, Forza Motorsport can be preloaded on Xbox and PC right now. You may need to clear some hard drive space first though.
In terms of file sizes, the Forza Motorsport weighs in at 132GB on Xbox Series X, 97GB on Xbox Series S, and around 116GB on PC.
Will Forza Motorsport be on Xbox One?
Players will need at a minimum an Xbox Series S to play Forza Motorsport. The Series S console will be able to give you Forza Motorsport at 1080p/60fps, but if you want the whole 4k/60 experience you will need an Xbox Series X. Sadly, despite the power of the Series X, there won't be a 120 fps option on Microsoft's flagship console.
Despite the game running best on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One owners won't be left behind. Forza Motorsport will be playable on Xbox One, but players will need a Game Pass Ultimate subscription to stream it on Xbox Cloud Gaming beta.
Forza Motorsport is also available on PC, via both Steam and the Microsoft Store.
