The release date for MotoGP 24 is getting very close and we're learning more about the game with each new reveal. The 2024 Motorcycle Grand Prix game has a new Riders Market, but what does this actually mean?

MotoGP 24 Riders Market Trailer

So far, the focus of MotoGP 24 has been on the journey from rookie to champion, as you look to take on world champion Francesco Bagnaia, despite your humble beginnings.

Now, though, there's a new feature in the spotlight, with the Riders Market taking centre stage. The trailer gives us a glimpse at this, as we initially choose which team we want to race for before seeing rider transfers.

It's not overly clear going off the trailer how this will work or be implemented, but riders being able to change teams in Career Mode is a huge new feature.

Something that we can see in the trailer, though, is that the Riders Market will be available for Moto2 and Moto3 riders in addition to MotoGP.

If you look at the Announcement Trailer as well, this was hinted at with the riders changing team overalls for a split second.

A New Grid Every Season

After the conclusion of each season, the Riders Market will kick into gear and allow riders to change teams. Riders from Moto2 and Moto3 will be looking to move up, with those in MotoGP trying to keep their seat.

Past results will affect the riders' reputations and dictate which contract offers they'll receive. This is for both the player's rider and those that are controlled by the AI.

This will give each season a unique feeling and allow for fantasy scenarios to play out in your MotoGP 24 save!

This mirrors other games like F1 24 and F1 Manager, both of which allow for the real-life drivers to change teams each season.

MotoGP 24 will be released worldwide on 2nd May 2024! MotoGP 24 will be available on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X|S, and Windows PC via the Steam Store.
