Chinese cars coming to Forza Horizon 5 for the first time in Series 4 update

Forza Horizon 5 has an eclectic car roster covering a broad range of manufacturers from around the world. But there’s one corner of the globe Forza has never represented: China. This will change in next week’s Series 4 update, however.

Announced on the official Forza China website, for the first time in a Forza game, cars from Chinese manufacturers are coming to FH5 next week in the Series 4 update. Coinciding with Lunar New Year, players can also use a fully localised Chinese voiceover in FH5 from 1 February.

Without further ado, here are all the new cars coming to the Forza Horizon 5 Series 4 update next week.

2016 NIO EP9

Series 4's standout car is the bonkers 2016 NIO EP9, the first Chinese supercar in FH5. It gained publicity when it set a new Nurburgring lap record in 2017 with a time of 6:45.90.

Thanks to its four electric motors, the NIO EP9 has over 1,300 horsepower

Thanks to four electric motors with one driving each wheel, the electric powertrain produces up to 1,360 horsepower. In real life, the EP9 is a track-only supercar, but in FH5 you can tear through Mexico in the electric supercar.

2013 Wuling Hongguang S

While it’s not the most exciting vehicle to drive in FH5, the Wuling Hongguang S minivan is one of the best-selling vehicles in China of all time.

Now in its second generation, the Wuling Hongguang S is powered by a 1.2-litre engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission producing 82 horsepower. With its modest power, this could be a popular vehicle for tuners.

2005 MG XPower SV-R

Originally built by MG Rover before the company was taken over by China’s SAIC Motor, the MG XPower SV-R shares the same platform as the Qvale Mangusta Italian sports car, which borrows parts from the Ford Mustang.

2015 MG MG3

One of the most highly requested cars by FH5 players in China, the MG3 is a popular hatchback equipped with a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre engine. Although the MG3 is produced by SAIC in China, final assembly of the car takes place in the UK.
