Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.44 Patch Notes

As we approach the Easter break, Gran Turismo 7’s March update has arrived. It’s not as substantial as we hoped, but update 1.44 brings three interesting cars, including the return of a legend, plus new race events, a new Menu Book, and more.

Polyphony has released the Gran Turismo 7 update 1.44 patch notes so let’s dive in and find out what GT7 players can expect.

Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.44 out now

Three new cars headline update 1.44: the 1999 Toyota GT-One, 2018 Lamborghini Urus, and 2016 Audi R8 Coupe V10 plus. Since every update in 2024 has included three cars, this could be the new standard.

Sold in the Legends Car Dealership only, the Toyota GT-One will be familiar to longtime Gran Turismo fans.

The legendary Le Mans racer first appeared in Gran Turismo 2 but hasn’t featured in a GT game since Gran Turismo 6 over ten years ago. This also marks the first time the Toyota GT-One has featured a fully modelled interior in Gran Turismo.

The Lamborghini Urus is also notable for being the first SUV in Gran Turismo 7. Given how popular this segment is in the car industry, we may see more performance SUVs like the Aston Martin DBX, Bentley Bentayga Speed, and Ferrari Purosangue join GT7’s roster.

That’s not all, as update 1.44 also adds three new World Circuits events including a touring car race at the Circuit de la Sarthe, a new Jaguar-focused GT Café Menu Book, and a Scapes location set in Fukushima, Japan.

Sadly, the update doesn’t add any new racing circuits. While the fictional Lake Louise snow track was added last November in the Spec II update, it’s been over a year since we’ve had a new asphalt circuit – not since Grand Valley returned last February.

Elsewhere, the update adds new engine swaps for the Mitsubishi Evo family, new GT Cafe characters, and a handful of game improvements, but nothing game-changing. For more details, check out the patch notes below.
