How to make cars faster in Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo 7, what a game! We absolutely adore the latest Real Driving Simulator on PlayStation 5 and can't see ourselves putting it down anytime soon. Racing is what we love and nobody does it better than GT.

The aim of the game is to be as quick as possible and to do that, you need to make sure you have the right car underneath you. Most of the time, it's cheaper and more effective to modify a car you already have, rather than buy a new one. So, here's how to do that.

Heading to the Tuning Shop

When you start Gran Turismo 7's single player mode, the GT World will look pretty sparce. Unlocking the Tuning Shop though, is pretty straightforward. All you have to do is head to the GT Cafe and complete Menu number three.

Menu three is the European classic compacts, which requires you to win the Mini Cooper, VW Beetle and Fiat 500. Once that's done, the Tuning Shop will be automatically added to your map.

After a quick introduction from Rupert, you're free to upgrade your car in any way you see fit. There are a lot of options here, so shop around to see which makes the most difference compared to its cost.

You can always see the alterations to the cars specs a new part will have upon it by choosing it and looking to the right of the screen.

The more upgrades you purchase, the higher your car's performance points (PP) will be. Just keep in mind that a lot of events have limits on the PPs of the cars that are allowed in. So, sometimes, bigger isn't better.
