After roaring onto PC back in 2022, Alaskan Road Truckers is heading to consoles this summer. Taking the trucking genre and adding several unique elements, Alaskan Road Truckers is no ordinary truck sim.
Driving the wilderness
Alaskan Road Truckers blends trucking with survival. In addition to keeping the wheels of your truck moving, you must also keep your driver ticking over.
Money earned from deliveries can be used to buy food to stop your trucker from going hungry. You also need to sleep to prevent your trucker from driving tired, putting your precious cargo at risk. As developer Road Studio S.A. says: “Be a trucker, not a truck.”
The game is set in the vast state of Alaska, also known as The Last Frontier. Six thousand miles of roads are available to drive, in an environment spanning 260,000 square miles. Plenty of room for running a rig.
Dynamic weather, mechanical failures, fatigue, and even maintaining body temperature will all keep you on your toes. That’s before environmental effects such as mudslides and avalanches occur, potentially blocking your path.
After a successful launch on PC, Alaskan Road Truckers is coming to console. The best news is players don’t have long to wait to fire up the rig.
Alaskan Road Truckers coming to console
Alaskan Road Truckers is making the journey to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S this summer. This is following the game’s successful launch on PC back in 2022.
The console version bundles the base game with the three previously DLC packs.
Players can begin their Alaskan trucking adventure from July 11. At the time of writing, no price has yet been confirmed for either PlayStation or Xbox.
