American Truck Simulator’s Kansas Expansion Arrives Today

American Truck Simulator’s Kansas expansion has been long awaited. SCS Software first announced the latest American Truck Simulator (the sequel to Euro Truck Simulator 2) expansion in February. Nine months later, the wait is finally over with the American Truck Simulator Kansas expansion arriving today.

Now players can hit the roads of the Sunflower State in the virtual trucking simulator.

American Truck Simulator Kansas Expansion out today

After a long wait, the American Truck Simulator Kansas Expansion launches on 30 November at 18:15 GMT / 19:15 CET. With 14 explorable cities including Kansas City, Wichita, or Topeka, there’s much to discover in the “Sunflower State.”

SCS Software has added several landmarks such as the historic Dodge City, Monument Rocks, and Mount Sunflower. You’ll be transporting goods for key industries around Kansas from salt mines to food factories.

While the Kansas DLC will be sold separately, it’s also available as part of The Great Plains Calling! bundle on Steam. If you missed out on previous DLC, it bundles the Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, and New Mexico expansions with Kansas. Best of all, you’ll only pay for DLCs that aren’t in your library.

To celebrate, SCS Software will host a Cruising Kansas World of Trucks event where players can earn unique rewards, with a community goal of driving 125,000,000 miles while delivering cargo to or from any city in Kansas.

As a bonus reward, players can also earn a Tiger Salamander Plush cabin accessory by taking any External Contract or External Market job to or from the city of Topeka.

Farm Machinery DLC

Surprisingly, this isn’t the only American Truck Simulator DLC launching today. As well as the Kansas DLC, today sees the release of the Farm Machinery DLC - fitting considering Kansas is an agricultural state.

As the name suggests, farming takes centre stage, with players transporting sprayers, spreaders, and tractors across America from two in-game brands, Owl & Greenler. In addition, the Farm Machinery DLC lets you decorate your cabin with various farming-themed accessories such as a scarecrow, star hat, and a plush autonomous tractor.
