The Asphalt series has been around for over 15 years now, and in its time has grown to become of of the very best mobile racing games around.
With it's intuitive controls, thrilling visuals, and outlandish action, Asphalt 9: Legends has been gathering players since its 2018 release.

However, we are nearing three years on from the game first appearing in the App Store. Which means a new one is on the way, right?
Asphalt 10: ?
If you trawl through the internet you'll see plenty of ideas on what the name of the next game could be.
We rather like "Underground", though that does bring up memories of another game.
Things like "Full Speed" and "All In" have also been suggested around the community.
However, the one we keep coming back to is the rather simple Asphalt X.
It would certainly do the job!
Release date
There is no guarantee that Asphalt 10 will be coming any time soon.
While we are approaching three years of 9: Legends, the very first release of Asphalt 8: Airborne was in August 2013.
If developers Gameloft were to wait five years between major releases again that would put Asphalt 10 at a 2023 release date... ouch!
We are much more hopeful that that though, and expect to see a game this year.
Cars
Like any racing game, the cars you can drive are crucial to the enjoyment of the game.
At the time or writing Asphalt 9 has 118 cars in the game, with more undoubtedly planned for release in 2021.
With 13 Ferraris, 12 Lamborghinis, and a pair of Koenigseggs, it is a hyper car playground.
We would love to see other amazing cars in Asphalt 10, like some Subarus and many more Paganis.
There is even the whole realm of classics that Asphalt doesn't really touch. Cars like the Aston Martin DB5 and Jaguar E-Type would be awesome additions to Asphalt's wild world of racing.
Gameplay changes
Of course, a new game would likely see some changes to many things. Gameplay would be the main one.
The current gameplay of Asphalt 9 is very intuitive and easy to understand.
Developments in mobile technology should allow for more refined tilt controls, perhaps even including acceleration and braking, though that would be somewhat against the Asphalt ethos!
We expect to see some more wild locations and daring stunts for racers to enjoy too.
