ACC Could Get One Final Update

Assetto Corsa Competizione

Assetto Corsa Competizione

Assetto Corsa Competizione used to be among the elites of sim racing titles, but recently players have become disenchanted with it. From bizarre metas and frustrating physics, the game has lost much of what made it so great.

While still an exceptional title for those looking to get into GT3 sim racing without breaking the bank on iRacing, ACC is a shadow of its former self. With developers Kunos Simulazoni now focused on the upcoming Assetto Corsa Evo, there was a worry that ACC would be left in the dust. But hope has been kindled.

One More For The Road

Speaking at the ADAC SimRacing Expo, Kunos Co-Founder and Executive Manager Marco Massarutto gave some hope to ACC fans and lapsed players when asked about future ACC support.

"We took it (fan pushback) into consideration and we are evaluating it." He said in an interview with Italian YouTube channel Mazz Racing. "The idea is to do a 'complete' patch. Since we have seen that there have been a few complaints, let's give it one last try."

This is terrific news as calls for a physics rollback have been coming from esports drivers and casual players alike.

Whether this final update will provide the game with a stable foundation for future play or be the last nail in the coffin of a once-great sim, we will have to wait and see.
