CarX Street has been a long time coming. The latest game in CarX Technologies’ drift racing series was originally slated for a November 2021 release but was delayed for nearly a year to September 2022.
With September fast approaching, we were starting to wonder if CarX Street would still meet its target September release. But with no updates from the developer, this looked increasingly unlikely.
Unfortunately, CarX Street has been delayed a second time.
CarX Street delayed to December
On Twitter, CarX Technologies announced that the CarX Street release date is being pushed back a few months to meet the developer’s “quality and detalization expectations.”
The PC version of CarX Street will now launch on 15 December, three months after the planned 8 September release.
“We need more time to prepare PC version of CarX Street project for you to enjoy,” CarX Technologies said on Twitter.
“We continue to work hard to make sure CarX Street meets all of our quality and detalization expectations, and the more we work, the more we want to do for this project. But we believe that we’ve found right balance between desire and possibility, so you will soon be able to appreciate our work.”
While the mobile version of CarX Street is currently in beta, the delay only affects the Steam version.
Delays are always disappointing, but if the extra development time results in a better, more polished game, it will be worth the wait.
CarX Street is the first open-world entry in the popular CarX series. The game will feature factions called Clubs you can join, including the Drift Devils, Speed Hunters, Drift United and Speedline Syndicate, as well as the ability to purchase properties.
CarX Street release date
According to CarX Technologies, the new estimated CarX Street release date is 15 December 2022.
