We all love our racing games. However, there's one time when we'd just rather throw the whole setup away and start putting all of our money into stamp collecting.
That's right ladies and gentlemen, error codes. One of these pesky things has recently been plaguing DIRT 5 on the PS5.
Thankfully, there are a number of things players can try in an attempts to fix this. Let's take a look at those now!

Fix the error
The error itself warns players that an error occurred with application. However, we can perform some system wide fixes in an attempt to negate the problem.
Firstly, make sure you system software is up to date, and the same goes for the game itself.
Next, try deleting and reinstalling DIRT 5 itself, this may remove the application error for you.
Finally, you can start your PS5 in Safe Mode and select 'Rebuild Database' or you can reset your PS5 from Settings > System > System Software > Reset PS5.
Codemasters to the rescue
This new error seems to be occurring far more frequently following the most recent update for the game.
As such, the team behind DIRT 5 have said that they have acknowledged the issue and are working on a fix.
That being the case, if none of the above fixes help your game, we're sure the team will have a new patch ASAP to fix our error code woes!
Energy Content Pack
As aforementioned, the update added the Energy Content Pack to the game also.
This pack adds 4 new cars to the game:
- Chevrolet Silverado 1500
- GMC Sierra Pre-Runner
- Alpine A110 Sports X
- Porsche Taycan Turbo S
As well as this, the pack is free for all Amplified and Year One Edition owners of the game.
For those that aren't, the DLC is £9.99 or $12.49.
