DiRT Rally 2.0 Update 1.18: New liveries & wheel support coming to the Codemasters title

The previous update was meant to be the last for DiRT Rally 2.0, but Codemasters is finding it hard to say goodbye to one of its best ever titles.

As a result a new update for the game is rolling out across the platforms today. What does it bring?

Update 1.18 patch notes

There isn't too much to take in here, but there are a few important fixes and awesome additions.

Let's take a look!

New liveries

There are some fresh looks for two cars, the Subaru Impreza 1995 and Volkswagen Polo R Supercar.

These two are getting the DiRT Rally 2.0 World Series liveries in black, blue, red, yellow, green, and pink.

Upgraded wheel support

DiRT Rally 2.0 will now support Logitech's TRUEFORCE, meaning the game will feel even better for those using the G923 wheel.

This patch has also resolved a few issues with Logitech hardware that cropped up from the 1.17 update.

Anything else?

The engine audio issue on the Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 has been corrected, and the updated Volkswagen logo is now in the game, displaying on menu screens and elsewhere to match the real world version.

DiRT Rally 3?

Once again, Codemasters state that this is the final update for DiRT Rally 2.0.

That only has us thinking that DiRT Rally 3.0 must be in the works. While there has been no official word, rallying is at the heart of Codemasters, and stop support for their title without having another on the way would seem like an odd move.

Codemasters always has a game arrive in November. This slot was filled by DIRT 5 last year, and GRID the year before that, which would suggest it is now open for a hardcore rally sim title.
