We'd been waiting for so long for Gran Turismo 7 to launch, but the wait is now over! GT7 launched a few weeks ago and we're seriously impressed with it. There's something for every kind of racing gamer in GT7, but are Formula 1 cars available in this title?
We've got everything you need to know about F1 in GT7 right here!
No Formula 1 cars from launch
Gran Turismo 7 includes over 400 cars in the base game, which is available to all who purchase GT7. Unfortunately, though, that doesn't include any official Formula 1 cars. This is despite GT7 having all of the cars and circuits that were in Gran Turismo Sport at the end of the game's life.
Previous GTs had F1 cars
While GT7 and GT Sport don't have Formula 1 cars, previous games like Gran Turismo 6 did. Despite this though, GT7 could have F1 cars further down the line. GT Sport had hundreds of cars and dozens of circuits added post-launch thanks to updates. The best part about these as well is that they are totally free.
Something else to keep in mind is that GT7 does have cars that are incredibly quick like F1 cars. These include the Red Bull X, which is far quicker than a Formula 1 car or anything else in the game.
It's also worth bearing in mind that some Formula 1 circuits are included in GT7. These include, but are not limited to Monza, Spa and Suzuka.
Other Formula 1 games
If you do want to race Formula 1 cars though, you can't do any better than F1 2021. F1 2021 is the official Formula 1 game and has the full calendar, as well as officially licenced cars, drivers and more. We expect F1 2022 to be launched in Summer of this year.
F1 cars are also available in other games that have large modding communities such as iRacing and rFactor.
