Nothing has been more successful in creating new Formula 1 fans than Drive To Survive.
The behind-the-scenes Netflix documentary started life in 2018, with 8 teams (everyone but Ferrari and Mercedes) allowing the camera crews to get a never-before-seen view of the biggest motorsport in the world.
Since then the show has become a key landmark in the F1 calendar and become wildly popular. With all the teams now signed up, the show has been given a fourth season. Let's see what we know so far.
Drive To Survive Season 4 confirmed
We will get a Drive To Survive 2022 season! Given its popularity, the show returning was never really in doubt, but the official announcement of its return is a welcome one for F1 fans.
While the 2021 season is only at the mid-point, the likely storylines for Drive To Survive are already clear to see. The Verstappen-Hamilton title fight and the Bottas-Russell battle for a 2022 Mercedes drive are the two biggest ones. However, Lando Norris' stellar season, Vettel's return to form, Williams' new owners, and the struggles of the rookies are likely to be big moments, along with Esteban Ocon's unlikely win in Hungary.
Drive To Survive 2022 release date
The show doesn't have an official release date, being advertised currently as "early 2022". However, we know it will land before the first race in 2022.
The usual slot Netflix has for DTS is mid-March, and we don't expect any deviation from that.
It should also be a full season dump rather than week by week upload, allowing fans to binge the show at their pleasure.
Of course, you'll need a Netflix account in order to watch Drive To Survive, or at least someone else's password!
