F1 Manager 2022 is stealing the spotlight this week, but it’s also been a big week for F1 22. Following a delay, crossplay multiplayer was finally added to F1 22, enabling players to race online across multiplayer for the first time in the series’ history.
F1 22 Podium Pass Series 2
This week also marks the launch of F1 22 Podium Pass Series 2. Out now on all platforms, the second series of Podium Pass adds dozens of new cosmetic items unlockable in Free and VIP tiers.
Free tier
F1 Life added a new layer of customisation to F1 22 with the ability to buy clothing for your driver and furnish your space, but Codemasters is continuing the popular Podium Pass.
Among the highlights are a set of items inspired by McLaren Racing driver Lando Norris. Codemasters worked with Norris to design a striking livery.
Finished in black and green, the livery is seemingly inspired by Norris’s Quadrant eSports team. This livery can be unlocked by completing the first level of Podium Pass Series 2.
Complementing the eye-catching livery is a pair of gloves, a race suit, and a helmet, unlocked at levels five, nine, and 13 respectively.
VIP tier
A new set of VIP tier items is also available. Celebrating the Moon Festival (the end of the autumn harvest), the Fire Dragon set includes a colourful vehicle livery, gloves, helmet, and race suit unlocked at levels seven, nine, 11, and 13 respectively.
Reaching levels 15, 17, 19, and 21 will also unlock a set of Fish Lantern items comprising a livery, gloves, helmet, and race suit.
