Portugal misses out on the 2024 Formula 1 calendar, but Portimao still finds its way onto F1 24's track list. The undulating circuit has won many fans, but the unique elevation changes present a challenge to the F1 cars.
Keeping the car planted while it rides the rollercoasters demands a special aerodynamic balance. Therefore you need an ideal F1 24 Portugal setup.
Best F1 24 Portugal Setup
We've only seen F1 cars charge around the Algarve a handful of times, but what we did see captured the hearts of many F1 fans. Portimao's incredible elevation changes created some unique racing moments during the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
Portimao's combination of technical corners and rise and falls means downforce is more important than ever. However, the long pit straight and medium back straight means the car also has to have little drag.
Riding the Portuguese rollercoaster therefore requires a car setup that balances on a knife edge. Too much downforce will make things draggy on the straights, while too little will lose performance in the slow-speed corners.
