All eyes are on the next Formula 1 season which means racers are already thinking about the F1 25 release date.

With the series struggling to engage players in recent seasons, Codemasters needs its next game to be a hit. So when can we expect the next Formula 1 game to arrive?

F1 25 Release Date Prediction

Codemasters has been moving the release date for its Formula 1 games earlier and earlier in recent years.

As a result, we expect the F1 25 release date to be Friday, May 23, 2025. This release date would also imply an early access release of Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

This is unconfirmed right now. But based on recent trends, F1 24, and EA's love of an early access period we are confident in our prediction.

Potential New Features

As an odd-yeared game, we could well see the return of the story mode feature in F1 25.

This mode started as the Feeder Series in F1 2019 before morphing into Braking Point in F1 2021 and developing further as Braking Point 2 in F1 23.

Whether we get a true sequel with Braking Point 3 in F1 25 is unknown. We would hope that Codemasters either revolutionizes or drops its story mode.

It has never really moved the needle for players outside its novelty in F1 2021. Arguably its best integration was in F1 2019 when Devon Butler and Lukas Weber joined your Career Mode save, making it a unique world for each player.

Speaking of Career Mode, both single-player modes are in desperate need of a refresh. Career Mode and My Team have stagnated horribly, going from one of the most engaging sports modes to one of the dullest.

Players have bemoaned the "EA Effect" as offline play seems to have taken a backseat to online modes and in-game monetization.

Changes to the R&D system, along with improvements to the quality of AI racing, which seem to have drastically declined in recent years, would be welcomed with open arms by every player.
