With shows like Amazon Prime’s Clarkson’s Farm bringing farming into the mainstream, more and more players will be looking to pick up their virtual tools to plant some crops. As a result, Farming Simulator 25's wealth of upgrades have come at the best possible time.

The addition of the East Asia map also sees new specialist equipment added to the game this year. Harvesting rice from the paddy fields requires specific tools previously unavailable in the series.

Along with two rice varieties, plenty of other new crops will also be available in Farming Simulator 25. Among the new crop types is spinach, ideal for those looking to grow healthy crops.

On the animal side, buffalos are joining the extensive list of available livestock. More details on the crops and animalsand other business opportunities in Farming Simulator 25 will be revealed closer to the game’s release.

Editions: Will there be a Deluxe Edition?

Beyond the default edition of the game, there is one deluxe edition for players to get their hands on. The Collector’s Edition comes with a wide range of bonus items.

These include an exclusive soundtrack CD with 15 tracks from the game, plus a 16-bit retro edition of Farming Simulator 25. If that’s not enough, the Collector's Edition also comes with three A2-sized posters, a Farming Simulator keychain, a Collector’s box, 32 brand stickers, and a Gold Edition skin for the in-game New Holland CR11 combine harvester.

The best bonus item by far, however, is the USB ignition lock. Coming with a pair of keys, this allows players to start and stop their farming vehicles by turning a real key on their desk. There is also a modding tutorial disc for players to use to create their own farming equipment.

Release date and platforms

Farming Simulator 25 is scheduled for release just as the harvest season ends. The game will launch on November 12, 2024 at just the right time for real-world farmers to come in from the cold to plant their next yield of virtual crops.

Farming Simulator 25 will be released on PC, Mac, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Notably, this will be the first time a Farming Simulator has been available on PlayStation and Xbox since Farming Simulator 22.

The graphical upgrades mean the game won’t be able to run on last-generation consoles, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players left behind in last year’s harvest.

Preorders are available now for select platforms. No early access period has been confirmed yet, and pricing details have yet to be confirmed at the time of writing.
