Two years after its release, Forza Horizon 5 is bringing a new way for players to collect cars. Previously, the only way to collect cars in the game was by spending in-game credit or redeeming Car Vouchers rewarded as part of the premium editions. Now, Car Vouchers are returning, and this time they’re available to everyone.
Play at your own pace
The new Forza Horizon 5 Autoshow Car Vouchers allow you to play the game at your own pace. Players can now use Forza Horizon 5’s microtransaction system to purchase vouchers that can then be redeemed for cars at the Autoshow.
For the most part, this system has been designed for new players looking to catch up on the previous two years worth of content. However, the system also benefits casual players who aren’t able to put in the hours needed to acquire certain cars that may be needed for the seasonal Photo Challenges and Treasure Hunts.
The Autoshow Car Vouchers come in three available bundles. Four vouchers will cost £3.99 ($4.99) whilst 10 will set you back £7.99 ($9.99). The highest bundle is for 24 vouchers and will cost you £14.99 ($19.99).
The Autoshow Car Vouchers are available to purchase from the Store tab in the Forza Horizon 5 pause screen. Once bought, these can be spent on any vehicle in the Autoshow, with the exception of Festival Playlist reward cars or cars from any seasonal Car Packs.
Any cars obtained using a Car Voucher will also be locked to your account, meaning they can’t be gifted or sold in the future. We therefore recommend saving these vouchers for rare or legendary cars to make sure you get the most bang for your buck.
Some players may be cautious about Forza Horizon 5 bringing microtransactions to the car side of the game. Overall though, the Autoshow Car Vouchers are a quick and easy way for players to play catch up with their garages. The vouchers are entirely optional, with players still able to buy cars the conventional way using credits.
