It’s a new month, and that means a new Forza Horizon 5 series update has arrived, bringing an array of new cars and challenges. 2024’s first Forza Horizon 5 series has a unique twist, however.
As the name suggests, the Community Choice update’s reward cars, decorations and events are all chosen by the community.
Chosen by the community
Back in September, Playground Games invited the community to vote for their favourite cars, challenges, and stunts from past Forza Horizon 5 series to feature in a future series. Four months later, Forza Horizon 5’s first series curated by the community is here to start the year.
The new series sees the return of neon decorations from the Midnights at Horizon update back in March last year, with the glowing snake pattern illuminating the Aeródromo en la Selva’s landing strip and drone shows lighting up Mexico.
Returning cars
Several fan-favourite cars voted by the community are also returning to Forza Horizon 5. Previously limited-time reward cars, these cars will be available to buy at the Autoshow from 30 January:

As well as old favourites, the Community Choice update brings eight new cars to Forza Horizon 5. Among the highlights are the 2011 McLaren 12C, McLaren’s first road-legal car after the McLaren F1, the sleek 2008 Aston Martin DBS, and 2006 Koenigsegg CCX.

While these cars are new to Forza Horizon 5, none of them are new to the series having appeared in Forza Horizon 4. Each can be unlocked in the seasonal Community Choice festival playlists.
