This evening the Microsoft Xbox store updated with the full download of Forza Horizon 5!
Here's what we know and when you can start driving in Mexico.
The Forza Horizon 5 download
You might need to free up some space on your gaming machine as Forza Horizon 5 will need a big chunk of storage. PC players are reporting the download comes in at 103.5 GB while we're seeing 116 GB on the Xbox One X and 103.4 GB on the Xbox Series X|S.
We're not sure why the Xbox One X download is larger, but with Smart Delivery, you'll download the right version for your console without fuss. It just might take a while!
What will we learn from the download?
Historically, some technically minded players have been able to examine the downloaded files and retrieve information about future car releases ahead of time. We're not sure that this will be the case here, as we've seen a pretty extensive launch car list and we've also seen the DeLorean in the first Festival Playlist. Further cars being added to the game will probably come through updates.
That said, we'll keep an eye on the Discord and Reddit groups for any interesting tidbits that emerge!
When can we start playing?
We still won't be able to play the game until the 9th of November, apart from those who have purchased the Deluxe or Premium editions. If you've bought one of those editions or the Premium Addons Bundle then you can play a few days earlier, from the 5th.
There's no other way to play Forza Horizon 5 early, as there is no demo version this time. So those who pre-install won't have anything more than a nice icon to see for the next couple of weeks!
