Forza Horizon 5 Series 7 has only just begun, with a new batch of challenges to complete and reward cars to unlock including five Ferraris. But that hasn’t stopped Playground Games from giving us an early taste of what we can expect in Series 8.
Forza Horizon 5 Series 8 reward cars revealed early
Weeks before the next series starts, Playground Games has revealed some of the Forza Horizon 5 Series 8 reward cars early.
Browse the "coming soon" section of the Festival Playlist, and you’ll find a teaser confirming three new cars coming to FH5 in Series 8.
Series 8 will have a "German Automotive Excellence" theme. One of the standout new cars is the all-new 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 making its Forza debut. While Porsche’s track monster is already playable in the Real Racing 3 and NFS No Limits mobile racers, FH5 will mark its console racing debut.
Other reward cars shown in the Series 8 teaser are the 2018 Audi RS4 Avant and Mercedes-AMG GT.
We expect Series 8 will feature one or two more new reward cars for completing challenges when it starts on 26 May. The remaining cars will likely be revealed in the next Forza Monthly Livestream.
“The reason we’re revealing them now is that they are actually included in this update,” Playground Games Creative Director Mike Brown explained during the Forza Monthly Livestream.
“Sometimes we include future content in an update as it allows us to more efficiently get more updates out on time. We’ll talk about this more on the Series 8 live stream in about four weeks’ time.”
Series 8 Car Pass cars
The Series 8 Car Pass cars have also been revealed early. While the reward cars are earned by completing challenges, Car Pass cars are paid for, with one new car released each week.
These are the new Car Pass cars coming in Series 8:
- 2020 BMW M8 Competition Coupe– 26 May
- 2020 Audi RS3 Saloon– 2 June
- 2020 Audi R5 Coupe– 9 June
- 1982 Volkswagen Pickup LX– 16 June
Each car is new to Forza, though some such as the BMW M8 and Audi RS3 Saloon already leaked back in February.
This month’s Car Pass cars, on the other hand, include the Dodge Magnum SRT8, Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, Forsberg Racing Nissan 370Z and Ford F-150 SVT Lightning.
