Forza Horizon 5 update in testing

The Forza Horizon 5 team hasn't given up on solving the multiplayer problems with the game.

Another update is on its way. Here's what we know and what we're hoping to see!

Forza Horizon 5 multiplayer woes

The problems with the latest Forza game have been well documented. We've bemoaned the emptiness of the Mexico map and we've seen Don Joewon Song write a list of complaints. It's fair to say the community loves the location and the cars but also aren't happy with some of the features.

Driving in Forza Horizon 5 can be a little lonely

Players have found the convoy system unreliable. Beyond that, multiplayer racing and modes like the Eliminator have also suffered game-breaking bugs. The developers acknowledged this and have been progressing towards fixes.

Fix expected this week

The team behind the Forza games, Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios, have a new update in testing which they say could be released as soon as today. We wouldn't be surprised to see this pushed back slightly but there will most likely be an update this week.

Like the last release, it may not fix every problem but we are expecting substantial progress in the key areas.

The content of the linked blog post hasn't actually changed from the last update release, so there's no further clues on what precisely this fix will entail. That said, we expect to see the release focused primarily on improving the multiplayer experience. EventLab and Horizon Open, two of the flagship features of this fifth Forza Horizon game, might be the key areas.

Want to race your friends? Hopefully Forza will fix that

We also hope to see the treasure hunt for this week fixed, as it appears to be impossible to complete if you've already collected three stars on all of the trailblazers. The clue, "Come as you are for a blazing trilogy across any trails," seems transparent enough. Coupled with the background image of the Alumi Craft Class 10 Race Car and the waterfall, we know which car to use and where the treasure chest will be when we've three-starred a trailblazer.

Trailblazers and the treasure hunt were new features for Forza Horizon 5 and need some bugs addressed. We'll keep an eye out!
