As expected, Forza Motorsport was one of the headline games shown off at last nightās Xbox Games Showcase, though its appearance was briefer than expected. Nevertheless, a new trailer finally confirmed the release date.
It also gives us a closer look at the gameās cover cars in action as well as a first look at previously unannounced tracks and tuning menus.
Forza Motorsport release date confirmed
The trailer finally confirms when we can play Forza Motorsport. After several delays, Forza Motorsport is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC on 10 October 2023. Players who preorder the Premium Edition or Premium Add-Ons Bundle can get racing five days earlier on 5 October 2023.

The latest trailer shows off Forza Motorsportās cover car stars in action: the No.01 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R racecar and 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray. Both cars will be available to drive in Forza Motorsport at launch along with over 500 cars.
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans are also shown for the first time, joining other circuits like Laguna Seca, Maple Valley and Virginia International Raceway.
We also get a brief look at tuning options for body kits, engine and drivetrain swaps, and aero modifications among others.
Editions revealed
While no information was revealed at Xbox Games Showcase aside from the release date, an official blog post reveals more details. There will be three Forza Motorsport editions: Standard, Deluxe and Premium.
The Standard Edition just includes the Base Game, while the Deluxe Edition includes the obligatory Car Pass. Upgrading to the Premium Edition lets you play five days early from 5 October. The Premium Edition also includes the Race Day Car Pack DLC, Car Pass, VIP Membership and Welcome Pack.
You can also upgrade to the Premium Add-Ons Bundle to get early access and all other add-on content included in the Premium Edition.
Career mode to be revealed at Forza Monthly
According to the blog post, Forza Motorsportās Builders Cup Career Mode will see you āout-build the competition by earning over 800 performance upgrades and race our most advanced AI opponents yet in a new, fun and rewarding single-player campaign.ā
Turn 10 will provide a full gameplay walkthrough in the next Forza Monthly livestream on Tuesday 13 June at 11:00am PDT / 6:00pm UTC / 7pm BST.
In addition, the blog post reveals that Forza Motorsportās online multiplayer will feature a ārace weekend inspired structureā. Forza Motorsportās online racing is said to beāsafer, more fun and more competitive with AI-powered Forza Race Regulations, tyre and fuel strategy, and new driver and safety ratings.ā
