Forza Motorsport Update 6.1 Patch Notes: Fixes HDR flickering

Not long after last week’s mammoth update changed the controversial car progression system, another Forza Motorsport update has dropped. This latest update is a comparatively small hotfix, with patch 6.1 fixing HDR flickering issues on all platforms alongside other tweaks.

Latest Forza Motorsport update fixes HDR flickering

Forza Motorsport was plagued with glitches at launch. While recent updates have ironed out many major bugs, players are still experiencing lingering issues.

One issue caused HDR skyboxes to flicker on PC and Xbox Series X|S under “certain framerate conditions.” Thankfully, the new hotfix update solves this issue.

In addition, the update fixes a soft lock that would happen to three cars if their manufacturer paints were changed and an issue with moving decals in the livery editor.

Forza Motorsport’s next major update is expected to arrive in April. Update 7 will add a new circuit to the roster after the Nurburgring Nordschleife was added in Update 5.
