Gran Turismo 7 is said to receive an update next week, and as usual, Kazunori Yamauchi has teased the incoming vehicles with a silhouette post on social media. This time, you can expect four new cars, two of which are known to be concept models from General Motors under the Corvette family.
All Cars Coming in the Next Gran Turismo 7 Update
The first car is the futuristic Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept. This car, with its futuristic design, mid-engined appearance, and four-wheel drive, produces a combined 2000 hp. Its exceptional performances are additionally facilitated by active ground effect fans.
Alongside this comes the latest Vision GT car to arrive in the game, the Chevrolet Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo. While it shares some styling cues with the CX, this version is designed especially for racing. Its hybrid technology, paired with a compact 2-liter V8 engine and multiple electric motors, produces the same 2000 hp but with a more competition-ready setup.
The other two remaining cars are the Renault Avantime and the Sony Honda Mobility Afeela 1. The Renault Avantime is a unique and short-lived model that has combined elements of a coupe, minivan, and shooting brake. This car brings a nostalgic touch back to the series, especially for veteran GT players, due to its appearance in earlier titles.
The Sony Honda Mobility Afeela 1 is the last addition. While Gran Turismo 7 already has the prototype version, this update is expected to introduce the production-ready model, which has recently begun rolling off Honda's Ohio production line.
As with most updates, you can also expect new World Circuits events, potential engine swaps, scrapes, and other minor adjustments. More details are expected ahead of the update's arrival on August 28, so stay tuned.
