Gran Turismo 7 has introduced a new online time trial that takes you to the iconic Kyoto Driving Park—Yamagiwa, a 4.9 km long original circuit-type track in Japan.
If you are someone who likes putting their skills to the test or practicing for the upcoming GT7 esports events, this online time trial is definitely for you.
Gran Turismo 7 Kyoto Driving Park Lap Time Challenge

This new lap time challenge in GT7 takes players to the Kyoto Driving Park - Yamagiwa, an original circuit-type track in Japan that's around 4.9 km long.
In this race, you are allowed to use the NIZMO R34 GT-R Z-tune '05. This car was recently added along with two others in update 1.61.
However, there are some regulations, as the car should be equipped with sports tires and a wide body, and nitrous/overtake is prohibited.
Here are the settings for this lap time challenge in GT7:
- BoP/Tuning Prohibited: On
- Car Settings: Specified
- Track Limit: Normal
- Shortcut Penalty: Invalidate Time
Currently, the top contenders are racing around the 1:42.921 mark with a DR of A+ and an SR of S.
These online time trials are updated every Thursday, and each challenge is available for around two weeks. Currently, the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps challenge from last week is also live.
