Gran Turismo 7 is the big PlayStation 5 racing game release of 2022. We're expecting it to make full use of the latest console hardware and to have the most stunning graphics. This latest clip arrives a month after the last footage we saw from GT7. Let's take a look at what we've learned!
Raising the bar on graphical realism

The PlayStation 5, with its much greater capabilities than the previous generation, has enabled the developers to push the boundaries.
"I personally feel that we've finally achieved a level of realism that's kind of tangible" says Yamauchi. He has almost become a cult figure to racing game enthusiasts. Certainly the footage we're shown looks to have incredible detail and exquisite lighting.
We hear about how the 4k, 60fps, and HDR capabilities of the console will make a difference. It's also a highlight seeing a quick glance at the ray tracing in the Gran Turismo 7 Scapes view. It's clear where the producer's priorities lay. This game needs to look great to compete with other franchises, and it does.
DualSense capabilities praised
The adaptive triggers and the haptic feedback of the latest PlayStation controller will play an important part in the GT7 experience. The controller triggers will change the tension when your brakes lock up. This new level of feedback will be a key part of making the experience more immersive than ever.
There's clearly going to be a better experience on the latest PlayStation compared to the previous model. While these can still be tricky to get hold of, as they become less scarce this looks like it might end up a must-buy game.

Some eagle-eyed viewers have spotted that the lines traced out by the visual effects in the clip hint at a particular circuit. Putting it all together, we're pretty sure that we'll be getting the 2020 Nascar version of the Daytona International Speedway. Hopefully we'll be able to race at Daytona in a range of configurations!
