Gran Turismo 7 'Starting Line' Trailer: New cars, Details, Deep Forest, & more!

We're very excited for the launch of Gran Turismo 7, even if we don't all have a PS5 yet here in the virtual office.

However, with a release date on the horizon, the trickle of content concerning the game has increased, and we've now got another trailer.

Let's take a closer look at this trailer now, and what it tells us about the game!

Cars

One of the most interesting things that watchers have noticed about the latest trailer is the cars that are shown. Some of them are a real nod back to the history of Gran Turismo.

Firstly, there is the Chaparral 2J. This phenomenal piece of engineering was first featured back in Gran Turismo 4, and features two colossal fans that help with the infamous 'Ground Effect'.

The next vehicle released in this latest trailer is 1968 Alpine A220. Whilst not massively successful following its launch, the brand has recently seen a motorsport resurgence.

Finally, we've got the 1997 Chevrolet Corvette C4. This has been in every game except Gran Turismo Sport since launch and as such, it will be awesome to race it once again.

The Car List

Also in the trailer, and not featured individually, is a huge car list. This features very briefly towards the end of the trailer, and so we haven't got the full list just yet.

However, so far, the 1997 McLaren F1 GTR has been seen, as well as Lewis Hamilton's 2017 Mercedes-AMG W08 F1 car.

These are both machines that will make for an incredible driving experience.

Release date

Now that we've taken a look at what the latest trailer has shown us, it's time to take a look at when we can actually play the game.

This will be 4 March, 2022. This gives us less than 6 months until the game's release, a lot less than what we previously believed!

So, be sure to get your hands on a PS5 as soon as you can, as you won't want to miss out on the next Polyphony Digitla offering.
