Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.14 was quietly revealed over the weekend by Kazunori Yamauchi's Twitter feed.

With few details uncovered we don't know too much, but we know roughly when it will arrive.

Latest news - Update 1.15 is live!

We expected it to be called 1.14, but it seems like Polyphony had other ideas!

The full patch notes are now available and you can check them out here.

As promised three new cars have arrived, along with huge changes and new events!

Gran Turismo update 1.15

On Saturday, Kazunori Yamauchi took to Twitter to let everyone know a new update for GT7 was on the way.

As usual now, it included an image of three cars in heavy shadow.

Kaz's Tweet says the update is coming this week, but that's all we know about the release date as Polyphony doesn't follow a regular update pattern.

Updates do usually land early in the morning UK time though, so at least we know roughly the time of day!

Server downtime

There has been a notice about servers being offline for the coming update.

Servers will be offline for two hours from 7am BST / 2am EST on Thursday 26 May.

New cars

Like last time, it seems that three new cars will be entering the game when Update 1.14 arrives.

While the image provided tries to keep an air of mystery around them, we do know what one of them is.

The amazing Toyota GR010 hypercar was developed for the 2021 Le Mans 24h race and features a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine along with Toyota's hybrid system. It will be a stunning drive around the Circuit de la Sarthe.

The other two cars are rather harder to figure out. We can't wait to see what they are though.

New track?

While Update 1.13 included an updated layout for Spa it wasn't exactly new.

We don't expect any new circuit to arrive in GT7 just yet. Polyphony undoubtedly has some up their sleeve for later in the game's life, but we aren't even three months in yet.

Tomahawk Tokyo nerf?

So what about the exploits players have found to farm credits? Well, these could certainly get removed in the next update.

A ban on VGTs in the current best payout races would be a smooth workaround for the Tomahawk 595 PP exploit.

Given that it was left in after Update 1.13 though, it could just be left alone.

New events

One thing we are sure to get, along with the usual bug fixes, is new events in the World Circuits tab.

Hopefully these will include some Gr.2 and Gr.1 events. Players have had the chance to buy plenty of eligible cars now, so having something to blast our old Porsches and Fords on would be a much-needed addition.
