It's only been two weeks since Watkins Glen and the Pikes Peak Suzuki arrived in GT7 but Polyphony is already preparing the ground for Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.18.
What could be in it, and when will it arrive? Let's find out!
Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.18
Server maintenance is on its way to Gran Turismo 7, which can only mean a fresh update is coming.
A post on the official GT7 news site said that:
At the following time, we will perform maintenance on the Gran Turismo 7 servers to implement general bug fixes.
[Day & Time]
July 6 2022, 06:00 - 08:00 UTC
July 5 2022, 23:00 - 01:00 PDT
Please note the above times are subject to change.
[IMPORTANT]
Please note that during this time only Arcade Race within World Circuits, and Music Rally will be playable. Other online services like Sport mode will not be available and progress will not be saved.
Hopefully the game shouldn't be offline for too long, since most of GT7 is unplayable when the servers are down.
But what is the maintenance for?
Bug fixes or new content?
Unfortunately, it is unlikely that this update will contain a new trio of cars or fresh track. We can always hope though!
Kazunori Yamauchi usually drops a teaser tweet before new cars arrive, and it's been a very short time since Watkins Glen was introduced. While monthly content drops are becoming common for GT7, it is unlikely anything arrives after this server maintenance.
Instead, players should expect bug fixes galore. Hopefully continued improvements to the Lobby system will come into the game, and there is likely going to be a fix for the ticket glitch that was uncovered following the last update.
