Gran Turismo Update 1.37

Gran Turismo Update 1.37

A new Gran Turismo 7 update has rolled out for PS5 and PS4 players. But if you were expecting it to be a substantial content update with new cars and race events prepare to be disappointed.

Here’s what’s in the comically short Gran Turismo 7 update 1.37 patch notes.

GT7's latest update is a minor one. Unlike the content updates that bring new cars, GT Café Menu Books, and World Circuits Events, update 1.37 improves the game stability.

Here are the brief patch notes:

Improvements and Adjustments

- Improved general game stability.

Frankly, releasing patch notes for such a minor update seems pointless in between the main content updates.

Claim a free car

While there are no new cars in update 1.37, GT7 players who entered the online qualifying of the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup 2023 by round seven can claim a free GR010 Hybrid 2023 livery and Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Edition '22.

When will the next Gran Turismo 7 content update arrive?

Update 1.37 raises the question: when will the next Gran Turismo 7 content arrive?

Most GT7’s content updates have usually arrived on the last Thursday of the month. The last update changed this trend, however with update 1.36 releasing on 7 August to celebrate the Gran Turismo movie.

Kazunori Yamauchi also teases new cars on the weekend before an update launches, but the Gran Turismo creator hasn’t hinted what we can expect in the next content update yet.

Polyphony has yet to confirm when update 1.38 will add more cars, but it could arrive next week in early September around a month after August’s content update. If not, it will likely roll out in late September like previous updates.

It’s worth noting that Gran Turismo 7 updates won’t always be monthly. In an interview with Japanese media earlier this year, Yamauchi confirmed that future updates might be spaced out.
