All eyes are on understandably on Gran Turismo 7, but Polyphony isn't quite done with Gran Turismo Sport.
A surprise update, 1.67, is heading to the game as it approaches its fourth birthday.
But what could be in the update?
Latest news - Not much in 1.67
The patch notes have been published, and there isn't exactly a lot.
Main Features Implemented
1. UI - Several in-game logos have been updated.
That's it...
Just a Balance of Performance?
The common thread through GT Sport updates is addressing the balance of performance. Some cars will see their power and weight change to help keep the balance of the game where Polyphony wants it.
What hasn't been common is new content. Only seven cars have entered the game since the start of 2020, leaving players with little fresh content to enjoy.
It's very unlikely that update 1.67 will see a new car or track come to the game, but we can still hold out hope.
The notice of the update was it's usual bland self.
At the following time, we will perform maintenance on the 'Gran Turismo Sport' servers. A new game update will also be available after the maintenance. Please note that during this time the online services, including [Sport Mode], will not be available.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
Does this have anything to do with the PlayStation Showcase?
This surprise update is coincidentally on the same day as the PlayStation Showcase, an event we all expect to contain more details about GT7.
It could be that this update contains media timed to unlock with the event in the evening, or even a pre-order tab for the new game.
Or it could be that it's purely a coincidence and this update has nothing to do with upcoming release at all.
Either way, this page will be updated will all the patch notes and news from update 1.67, so keep it bookmarked!
