The idea of representing your country at the Olympics is one every athlete strives for. Well now racers can push for it too!
The Olympic Virtual Series is bringing gaming to the biggest competitive event in the world, and Gran Turismo Sport is the platform for racers to test their mettle.
How to participate
Following the 1.65 update, the qualifiers for the Olypmic Virtual Series are now open.
There is two stages to this competition, and the first step is to absolutely nail a time trial event.
Jumping into the Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept, you need to fly around the Tokyo Expressway South Inner Loop, but it's not just the clock you are racing. As this is the Olympics, you need to be the best in your country!
- Track: Tokyo Expressway – South Inner Loop
- Car: Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept – Provided Car
- Tires: Racing Hard
- BOP: On
- Power/Weight Limit: N/A
- Settings: Fixed
Players have until 14:59 UTC on 23 May to set their times. There are no limits to your attempts, so fuel up and get pushing!
Getting to the Final
The 16 best eligible players will advance to the World Final, but it's not just the raw time they are taking into account. The 16 finalists will be split by region, and only 1 player from each eligible country can advance.
Europe/Middle East/Africa will have 7 spots to fill, Asia has 4, North America and Central/South America have 2 spots each, and Oceania has 1.

The finals will take place on 6 June across three races, with double points for the last one.
- Race 1 – Toyota 86 Gr.4 – Tokyo Expressway East Outer Loop
- Race 2 – Toyota GR Yaris – Sardegna Road Track B
- Race 3 – Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept Gr.3 – Dragon Trail Seaside
