GT Sport: Balance of Performance changes, Gr. 3 and Gr. 4!

The FIA Gran Turismo Online Championships will be kicking off at some point this year, however, that doesn't affect most of us.

Instead, the BoP changes made may indeed have a big effect on the game that we play.

So, let's take a look at what changes are making there way into BoP now!

BoP in Gr. 3

So, let's kick things off with the BoP changes that are coming to the Gr. 3 vehicles. The changes are all related to power, none to weight.

GROUP 3: Group 3 hasn't seen a huge number of changes!

Two cars gain an increase in power, these are the Renault Sport RS01 and the Mazda RX-Vision GT.

The remaining vehicles all lose one percent of power: Aston Martin V12 Vantage, Dodge Viper, Hyundai Genesis, Lexus RC F (2017 model), McLaren 650S, and Volkswagen GTI VGT.

It will be interesting to see if these make a difference to car selection in races.

BoP in Gr. 4

In Group 4, there are far more changes that affect the cars. Firstly, there are changes to both power and weight.

GROUP 4: These vehicles have seen a huge number of changes!

In addition, there are a far more vehicles affected. Firstly, the Alfa 4C gets a slight 'buff' to its performance, as it's weight is reduced by 3%, but its power also falls by 1%.

The Citroen GT, Honda NSX and Porsche Cayman all gain a bit of weight. However, the Renault Sport Megane Trophy and Toyota 86 both lose 1% in their weight.

The Chevrolet Corvette and Dodge Viper both lose 1% power.

However, the main changes are to the FWD Gr. 4 vehicles. Each of them receives extra weight and a slight increase in power in order to try and combat how easy they are to use in the races without tyre wear.

Today's update brings in some new daily races also, with a large number of laps being the main trend.
