GT7 Daily Races 27 March: Samba style

Monday in Gran Turismo 7 means a new set of GT7 Daily Races has arrived in the game! This week takes us around Europe in some questionable machinery.

We've also got a new update this week, with Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.31 on the way. Five new cars will be coming to the game at a minimum but hopefully there is more.

Before then though, there are three new Sport Mode races to conquer. Let's check them out!

Race A

Alsace - Test reverse - 5 laps

This week's unranked race sees players jump into the Sambabus Type 2 '62 for a five-lap jaunt around the Alsace Test reverse. In this race players will use the Comfort Soft tyre and have 1x fuel consumption and tyre wear.

A mid-speed BoP will be applied to everyone, and of course your DR & SR will be unaffected by performance here.

There are light mechanical damage and light shortcut penalties, along with penalties for collisions.

Race B

Brands Hatch - GP - 5 laps

The first ranked race of the week is Gr.4s around the full Brands Hatch circuit. You will be using the Racing Medium tyre with 1x fuel consumption and tyre wear.

A low-speed BoP will be applied to everyone and the race will use a rolling start so be sure to qualify. There are light mechanical damage and light shortcut penalties, along with penalties for collisions.

Race C

Dragon Trail - Seaside reverse - 10 laps

The final race this week is a classic Daily Race, Gr.3 cars through the Death Chicane at Dragon Trail Seaside reverse. Players will need to use both the Racing Medium and Racing Soft tyres in this one, which means you will have to make a pitstop.

There is 2x fuel consumption and 7x tyre wear so keep an eye on the rubber and don't push it too hard.

A mid-speed BoP will be applied to every car and there is a rolling start to this race. Once again there is light mechanical damage along with light shortcut penalties and penalties for collisions. There is also a penalty for pitlane line cutting so be sure to stay on the correct side!

Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.31

After skipping January, it looks like GT7 is back to its monthly cycle again as Gran Turismo Update 1.31 has been teased over the weekend. As usual, Kazunori Yamauchi posted his silhouette photo to Twitter, featuring five cars.

The community has been hard at work trying to identify the cars in this post, and it looks like we will be getting quite the mix of machinery this week.

It looks like we will be getting two new Porsches, with the classic 904 Carrera GTS and the 959 both included in the image. It's not immediately clear which version of these models we will be getting, but that should be revealed on Tuesday.

Then there is a Audi RS5 DTM, a stellar addition in out opinion, and a Toyota Alphard minivan which is definitely going to be polarising to players. Finally there looks to be a Mazda 3, again though, the specific model is unclear.

The new update should arrive on Thursday 30 March and will see the removal of the Gran Turismo Sophy Race Together feature. Hopefully it will see new events with good payouts, and perhaps even a new Cafe Menu Book or Missions as it has been a long time since we got any form of additional single-player content there.
