GT7 Daily Races 31 July: Mountain roads

It's Monday, which means a new set of GT7 Daily Races has landed in Gran Turismo 7. The last day of July has arrived without an update hitting the game, but we do have official word on where Update 1.36 has got to.

More on that later, but first Sport Mode players will be keen to know what races they will be sinking their teeth into over the next seven days. This week sees players take on a kart race and then two trips to the mountains as GT7 goes hiking for the summer!

Race A

Tsukuba - 8 laps

The unranked race this week takes players to the iconic short circuit Tsukuba for eight laps of karting action. That's right, you'll be in the Racing Kart 125 Shifter for this one!

Everyone will be on the Sports Soft tyre with 1x fuel consumption and tyre wear for the race.

This race uses a low-speed BoP, and both SR & DR are switched off. There is light mechanical damage in this race and it will enforce normal track limits. There is also light penalties for shortcuts and penalties for collisions.

Race B

Mount Panorama - 5 laps

Race B is the first ranked race of the week and sends us down under to Bathurst for five laps in Gr.3 cars.

Everyone will be using Racing Hard tyres with 1x fuel consumption and tyre wear. The 16-car field will use a rolling start to get this one under way.

This race uses a high-speed BoP, but players can tune the brake balance. DR & SR are on for this race, meaning your performance will impact both ratings.

Race C

Trial Mountain - 10 laps

The final race this week takes players to Trial Mountain for 10 laps of Gr.4 racing.

Players will be on the Racing Medium tyre, but with the added complication of 2x fuel consumption and 3x tyre wear. The 16-car field will use a rolling start to get underway. There is no mandatory pitstop for this race, but 10 laps at 3x wear is a long way to go on mediums...

Update 1.36 on the way

With the Gran Turismo movie approaching, Polyphony has decided to do things a little differently for this update. Rather than getting update 1.36 on the last Thursday of July as expected, it will drop on 7 August.

As usual, Kaz has provided a sihlouette tweet showing four cars that are coming. We know that one is the Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Edition, but what are the rest?

It looks like we will be getting the Maserati MC20, the 1958 Corvette C1, and the Toyota Himedic Ambulance.

It's quite the eclectic bunch as ever. Hopefully these cars will come with a new track, as it has been a while since we got a new location to Gran Turismo 7. There is also the hope that this update will have more content than usual, given its proximity to the movie release. Perhaps new missions or
