December is here and the days are drawing in. As snow settles around the northern hemisphere, Polyphony is taking us to its new Canadian location as part of the GT7 Daily Races 4 December.
But that's not all. We've also got a tricky tuning challenge that will have everyone searching for the meta. Here's where you will be racing this week.
Race A
Lake Louise - Long Track - 4 laps
The first race this week is fully unranked and takes us around the new snow circuit of Lake Louise for four laps in the Toyota GR Yaris RS "High Performance" '20.
Everyone will, natrually, be on the snow tyre and both fuel consumption and tyre wear are off for this race. The 12-car field will use a grid start, which includes a false start check.
Every car will use a high-speed BoP for this race, with no further tuning allowed. As mentioned, both DR & SR tracking is switched off for this race.
There is light mechanical damage in this race, along with light shortcut penalties, light wall collision penalties, and penalties for collisions with other drivers.
Race B
Barcelona - No Chicane - 4 laps
The first ranked race of the week sees players take on a classic combo, Gr.3 cars at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya's no chicane layout.
Everyone will use the Racing Medium tyre for this four-lap race, but there is 1x fuel consumption and 3x tyre wear so the mediums will fade in this race. The 16-car field will also use a rolling start.
Every car will use a mid-speed BoP in this race, with brake balance adjustments allowed.
There are light shortcut penalties along with penalties for collisions with other drivers.
Race C
Trial Mountain - 7 laps
The final race is seven laps of Trial Mountain with an array of cars allowed for selection. You can take any one of:
- Ferrari F40 '92
- Toyota Supra RZ '97
- Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren '09
- Lexus LFA '10
- Porsche 911 GT3 (997) '09
- BMW M3 '07
- Honda NSX Type R '92
- Jaguar XJ220 '92
- Lamborghini Diablo GT '00
- Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) '02
With complete tuning allowed and no PP limit there is bound to be a learning period before the very best car & tune become apparent.
Everyone will be on the Sports Medium tyre with 1x fuel consumption and tyre wear, and the 16-car field will use a rolling start.
As we mentioned, a full tune is permitted in this race, so get tinkering with your car of choice! DR & SR are both on for this race.
There is light mechanical damage in this race, along with light shortcut penalties, light wall collision penalties, and penalties for collisions with other drivers.
