Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 – Turbocharged is the follow-up to Milestone’s hit arcade toy racer. The sequel is fun and accessible for players of all ages and skill levels. But it’s worth familiarising yourself with the Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 controls if you’re new to the series.
There are also plenty of new mechanics for returning players to learn. Luckily, our guide will help you get to grips with the Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 controls.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 controls
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 uses standard racing game controls for control pad players. On PlayStation and Xbox, the right trigger accelerates, while the left trigger brakes and reverses. On PC, the default keyboard controls for accelerating and braking are W and space, respectively.
Controlling the cars is easy to pick up but tricky to master. Each vehicle handles differently depending on the class and weight, with an emphasis on braking to drift. This earns you boost, so it’s worth practicing the controls in time trials.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 introduces several new mechanics that shake up the gameplay. Players can now perform jumps in exchange for boost to access shortcuts and leap over opponents. There’s also a new dash move for avoiding obstacles and bashing opponents out of the way, bringing a tactical element. But how do you perform these moves?
