Many players have been sinking a number of hours in Gran Turismo Sport as the wait for Gran Turismo 7 drags on.
However, there is one problem with many open, online racing games. This is of course, the inevitable first corner pile-up or torpedo.
So, here are a couple of tips we've put together to hopefully help you avoid this in GT Sport!
Avoid the turn one torpedo in GT Sport
Naturally, there is very little players can actively do to avoid the ridiculousness that is Turn One in any open, online racing lobby - you're always going to get a few idiots that ruin it for the many... Or vice versa!
However, in the long run, there are a few strategies players can employ. Firstly, we simply have playing time, and lots of it! The more you play and increase that safety rating, the more likely you are to end up in lobbies with sensible players.
Secondly, we recommend being extremely cautious into that first corner, especially when new to the game and with a lower safety and river rating. It may seem counterintuitive but you'll likely find yourself making it round turn one facing the right direction and with a few places made!
Finally, if you've managed to qualify near the front, try and keep an eye on what's happening behind you in the run down to that first corner. This should give you the information you need to avoid an unnecessary pileups.
