Gran Turismo is Sony’s flagship racing game franchise for the PlayStation.

Since it began in 1997 when bringing racing simulations to the masses, the Gran Turismo series has been incredibly popular, selling over 85 million copies.

The latest game in the series is out now on PS5 and PS4, but you might be wondering how to download Gran Turismo 7 for PC.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to download GT7 for PC. GT7 is a PlayStation-exclusive game.

Since its inception, the franchise has always been PlayStation-exclusive as Polyphony Digital is a first-party Sony studio.

Remote play

You can, however, play Gran Turismo 7 on PC via Remote Play, but you’ll still need either a PS4 or a PS5. To do this, you need to set up remote play in the settings on your PS4 or PS5. On PS5, go to Settings >  System > Remote Play. On PS4, go to Settings > Remote Play Connection Settings > Enable Remote Play.

If you still own physical copies of older Gran Turismo games from the PS1 and PS2 era, you can play them on PC through emulation software. You may experience combability issues, though, as these games were never originally intended for PC.

Will Gran Turismo 7 come to PC?

Sony and Polyphony haven’t announced plans to release Gran Turismo 7 on PC. It’s currently only available on PS5 and PS4.

However, this could be about to change, as series creator Kazunori Yamauchi has stated that a PC port for GT7 is a possibility.

God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn were posted to PC - could Gran Turismo 7 be next?

Over the last few years, PlayStation Studios games like God of War, Days Gone, and Horizon: Zero Dawn have been ported to PC and sold on Steam. Gran Turismo 7 could be next.

If GT7 does come to PC, it likely won’t be for a few years as Sony won’t want to cannibalise PS5 sales.
