How to get Palace Edition cars in Need for Speed Unbound

As well as giving players early access, the Need for Speed Unbound Palace Edition contains several exclusive cars. However, it’s not clear how you unlock them.

The NFS Unbound Palace Edition includes four cars with exclusive wrap designs inspired by Palace Skateboards to screech around the streets of Lakeshore with style.

These are:

  • Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series 2020
  • Volkswagen Golf GTI 1976
  • BMW M3 Evolution II E30 1988
  • Mercedes-AMG G 63 2017

How to get Palace Edition cars in Need for Speed Unbound

Unfortunately, you can’t access the Palace Edition cars immediately if you own the Palace Edition. Instead, you need to progress through the single-player story campaign to unlock them.

After you reach specific points in the story campaign, the Palace Edition cars become available.

They aren't free, however. Once unlocked, you can purchase the Palace Edition cars with in-game money earned from winning races and completing side missions.

To access the Palace Edition cars, go to a Safe House or Garage and select Rides.

From here, select Buy and Sell and then switch from Buy Stock to Buy Custom. If you own the Palace Edition, the Palace Edition cars will appear here.

Depending on how far you are in the story campaign, some Palace Edition cars may be locked. Here’s how to unlock the Palace Edition cars:

Mercedes– AMG G 63 (2017)

The Mercedes– AMG G 63 is unlocked after completing the prologue and reaching Week 1. It costs $110,000.

Volkswagen Golf GTI (1976)

To unlock the Volkswagen Golf GTI, you need to reach Week 2 of the story campaign. Once, you reach Week 2, you can buy it for $30,000. This is by far the cheapest Palace Edition car.

BMW M3 Evolution II E30 (1988)

Reaching Week 3 of the story campaign unlocks the BMW M3 Evolution II E30. It costs $60,000.

Mercedes - AMG GT BlackSeries (2020)

Finally, the Mercedes-AMG GT BlackSeries is unlocked after you reach Week 4 of the campaign. At $275,000, it’s the most expensive Palace Edition car.

Multiplayer

Single-player and multiplayer progression is separate in Need for Speed Unbound.

As such, the Palace Edition cars are unlocked from the start in multiplayer and can be purchased at the dealership:

  • Volkswagen Golf GTI (1976) - $30,000
  • BMW M3 Evolution II E30 (1988) - $60,000
  • Mercedes- AMG G 63 (2017) - $110,000
  • Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series (2020) - $275,000
