iRacing’s 2024 Season 3 update has dropped, adding a wealth of incredible new content to the platform. Two new cars and three new tracks are coming, giving racers all-new racing adventures. If that’s not enough, a major new feature is also included in the update.
Let’s check out what’s new in iRacing 2024 Season 3.
All-American
Two new cars are now available to race in iRacing as part of the 2024 Season 3 update. These bring an all-American feel to the sim, with the Ford Mustang GT3 and Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R joining iRacing’s extensive vehicle list.
The Mustang is based on the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse model. This powerful beast is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.4-liter Coyote V8 to leave the rest of the grid in your dust.
The Corvette borrows a range of components from its predecessor, the Chevrolet Corvette C8R GTE. This includes its mighty 5.5-liter LT6-based V8 power plant.
Both new cars slot nicely into iRacing’s GT3 lineup, joining the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, Porsche 992 GT3 R, and the incredible Ferrari 296 GT3. The new GT3 cars are enticing, but there are also new Street Stock bodies available.
The Eagle and Casino bodies give the Street Stock car more variety when out on the track. They are available as part of a special two-for-one deal. The original body has also been renamedPanther to help racers distinguish it from the new offerings.
It's not only new cars that are joining the race in 2024 Season 3.
New circuits
Three new tracks have arrived in iRacing in 2024 Season 3. Free to all iRacing players is the Circuito de Navarra.
One of Spain’s most modern circuits, the Circuito de Navarra features three different configurations headined by the 2.44 mile, 15-turn Speed Circuit.
The Sachsenring of Germany and the Oswego Speedway are also included in the update. Both tracks are highly regarded by their respective racing championships.
For the Sachsenring, the track is a popular host for both touring cars and open-wheel racing. The Saxony track is also a regular presence on the DTM calendar.
As for Oswego Speedway, the circuit in New York plays host to one of the world’s most diverse short-track racing programs. From Supermodifieds to the DIRTcar Nationals, this oval has seen them all.
At the time of writing, Oswego Speedway's dirt configuration is not available yet. This will be included in a patch later in 2024 and will be free to all players who have already purchased the circuit.
