Getting into iRacing is not cheap.
Moreover, racing game fans of all calibres might want to get their hands on iRacing. Being the most realistic racing sim of our time.
But is iRacing Worth the price tag? It's difficult to answer questions of sorts, but what we can do is guide you to know if iRacing is worth it for you.
How much does iRacing cost?
To start answering this question, it is important to talk about the price range. First and foremost, your setup needs to be able to run iRacing. If it doesn't then you're looking at around $600 approximately. But with iRacing having relatively low requirements to meet, setup is usually not an issue.
Setup aside, the other main thing you have to make sure you pay for is the membership, at standard costing $13.99 a month. However, iRacing creates deals and offers for people to be able to get memberships for lower pricing per month! Currently, for new players, memberships start from around $7.80 a month.
If you get the 2-year bundle, costing $119.40, that's around $4.97 a month. There are many add-ons you can get for the game, but they will make the experience significantly more expensive.
When is iRacing worth it
The fact that there's no lifetime ownership of the game, makes knowing whether you want to invest or not a grey area. However, it's not necessarily a bad thing. If you're looking to try the game for around 3 months, you would be paying around $19.80, This might sound like a lot at first glance, but that's around half the average price of an AAA title.
So if you're the kind of player who never sticks to a game, and you're looking to play the game casually for a short time. Then iRacing is definitely worth it for you!
On the other side of the spectrum, if you are looking to play the game for a long time, and to spend a lot of hours on it, then it'll also be worth getting! Because you'll be paying much less for a month than usual, so it'll be worth the investment.

However, if you're the kind of player that plays games on and off, then maybe getting iRacing is not the best idea, unless you want to try the game for a while. A one-and-done deal. Otherwise, it really depends on you, your budget, time allocation, and priorities.
