Le Mans Ultimate is just around the corner with an Early Access release set for 20 February, but will your PC be able to handle an entire 24-hour endurance race?
From short World Endurance Championship races to the full 24 Hours of Le Mans, Le Mans Ultimate puts you to the test as an endurance driver. With the Early Access release announced, Le Mans Ultimate's minimum and recommended system requirements have been confirmed. Let's take a look at what hardware you need to run the game.
Enduring racing
You might think running an endurance race is a simple affair, but that’s not necessarily the case for your PC. Simulating a day-night cycle and changes in the weather, let alone managing the AI of all your competitors, is incredibly taxing on a rig, so you need to make sure your PC is up to the task.
While it runs on the same engine as rFactor 2, Le Mans Ultimate benefits from graphical upgrades, so you'll need more powerful hardware to run the game even on minimum settings.
Minimum specs
Here are the minimum Le Mans Ultimate system requirements confirmed via the game's Steam page:
- OS: Windows 10 or 11
- Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 or AMD FX-8120
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: nVidia GeForce GTX 950 (4GB) or AMD Radeon RX 470
- DirectX: Version 11
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 30 GB available space
- Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
- Additional Notes: To run on minimal settings at 1080p
Recommended specs
With Le Mans Ultimate taking advantage of the same engine as rFactor 2, and with all the backend simulation occurring during a race, the recommended requirements are pretty hefty.
As a result, you may need to give your rig a significant upgrade before it can withstand a full endurance race.
Here are the confirmed Le Mans Ultimate recommended system requirements:
- OS: Windows 10 or 11
- Processor: Intel Core i5-9600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB, Radeon RX 580 8GB
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 30 GB available space
- Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
- Additional Notes: To run on default settings at 1080p
Release date
Le Mans Ultimate races into Early Acccess on 20 February 2024. Studio 397 is considering porting it to consoles in the future, but this will depend on the PC game's sales.
