Mario Kart Tour is an awesome handheld Mario title, perfect to enjoy with friends in some close multiplayer action!
The free-to-play version of Mario Kart is easy to pick up and incredibly fun. However, many features in the game lie behind a pay wall, which puts some people off.
So, let's take a look at whether or not Mario Kart Tour is any good!
The positives
The best feature of Mario Kart Tour is the base game being free to play. This means anyone with an iOS or Android device can at least try the game.
The game's multiplayer is also now a standout feature, letting you race against friends and players worldwide.
There are also a plethora of tracks and karts and other vehicles which players can use. The tracks are detailed, with various routes, shortcuts and hazardous obstacle in your way.
The gameplay experience is incredibly fun. Although the steering can be a bit of a handful at first, once mastered, it is a very rewarding game.
The negatives
One of the only real negatives to the game is the pay wall. Unfortunately, and as with many free to play titles, a lot of the content is stuck behind a premium pass.
Years after release, the content is now much more rounded. However, upon release the game didn't even have a fully-fledged multiplayer.
As such, many players still choose not to play the game. With a much improved playing experience now, we highly recommend that you give it a go again!
