Yield is crucial to maximizing your earnings in Farming Simulator 25, and to do that you need to stack yield bonuses to your fields.
There are many ways to add a yield bonus to your crop, all the way up to a maximum of 100% yield bonus. These are the steps that can make your farm a money-printing machine.
Yield in Farming Simulator 25
There are several things that impact your yield, meaning there are multiple steps to getting the biggest yield bonus possible. These need to be done with every field and every time you plant. There's no magic wand you can wave in this game to make it a one-and-done problem.
Six factors that affect yield in Farming Simulator 25. These are:
- Mulching
- Plowing
- Rolling
- Liming
- Fertilizing
- Weeding
To get the maximum 100% yield bonus you need to do all six of these things. It is important to note that stone collection does not impact yield, but leaving stones in your field will increase the wear on your equipment.
The most important factor is fertilizing. This carries a 45% bonus, split across two fertilization states (except for rice which only needs one).
Next is weeding. To get the full 20% yield bonus you need to do the weeding when they are still small. Letting them grow to large before dealing with them will still affect yield.
Plowing and liming both carry a 15% yield bonus. These two steps are done before planting. Plowing can be achieved with plows, spaders, or subsoilers. Fields need to be limed every three harvests, with the bonus decreasing to 10%, then 5% with each harvest.
Last are mulching and rolling. These both provide a 2.5% yield bonus. Mulching can only be done on crops that leave stubble after harvesting. Rolling must be done after planting for the bonus to take effect.
If you complete each of these steps on each field for each crop then your yield bonus will be a maximum 100%, and you will make much more money from each crop.
