Hot Wheels Unleashed came out last September and was a surprise hit for developer Milestone. Since then, a raft of updates have added new cars and track customisation options to keep players busy with Milestone’s marvellous toy car racer. Some add-ons are free, while others are paid DLC.
Now, the latest batch of premium DLC has arrived. March’s update includes three new cars, a new track module and a customisation pack. These add-ons are included in the Hot Wheels Pass Vol.2 or can be purchased separately.
New cars
The highlight of the Hot Wheels Unleashed March update is the McLaren Senna. Built as a tribute to the late Ayrton Senna, the Hot Wheels car retains its real-life counterpart’s aggressive body kit. With its massive rear wing, the McLaren Senna stands out on the track.
Joining the McLaren Senna is the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible 2014. In real life, the Corvette Stingray Convertible packs a V8 engine rated at 450 horsepower.
Following last month’s Chun-Li-inspired car, another Street Fighter car has been added to Hot Wheels Unleashed. This custom race car is inspired by Vega, distinguished by a white, blue, yellow and red livery based on Vega’s outfit in Street Fighter.
The McLaren Senna and Corvette Stingray Convertible cost £0.79, while the Street Fighter Vega car costs. All cars are also included in the Hot Wheels Pass Vol.2.
Skaters Customisation Pack
Available for £0.79 or included with the Hot Wheels Pass Vol.2, a new Skaters Customisation Pack includes the following decorative items:
For the Basement:
- Two walls
- Two floors
- One door
- One decoration
- One couch
- One set of four posters
For the Unleashed Profile:
- One icon
- One tag
- One background
Finally, the last add-on is a Gorilla Garage module. When the gorilla punches the garage, the doors close and block your path. This module costs £2.49 or is included in the Hot Wheels Pass Vol.2 at no extra cost.
