We're big fans of Monster Truck Championship here at RacingGames, and it's easy to see why.

The game has some awesome modes, and perfectly nails the chaos of Monster Truck driving.

Now, however, the game is coming to next-gen also. So, let's take a look at the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S now!

Next-gen release

Excitingly, NACON and TEYON have just announced that the game will be coming to next-gen consoles. It is already available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

GET CRUSHING: The game boasts a number of modes!

The release date for this version is pegged as 11 March 2021, so we don't have too long to wait either!

So, this means that players with next-gen consoles will be able to join in on the madness sooner than we thought.

Next-gen gameplay

With this next-gen version of the game, we assume some improvements will be coming. And that doesn't just refer to faster loading times!

RACE ANYWHERE: Monster Truck Championship has 25 circuits!

Oh no, with the next-gen consoles' powerful hardware, we assume that the game will now at least be available in 4K resolution.

The consoles also boast a guaranteed refresh option at 4K of 60fps, which will be a huge visual improvement for most players.

Monster Truck Championship

The game itself is perfectly suited to the powerful hardware of next-gen consoles. With larger-than-life vehicles in larger-than-life races, this game isn't one to miss.

CRAZY CARNAGE: The action will look even better in crisp 4K resolution at 60fps!

The races contain up to 16 vehicles, and you can take part in them in up to 25 different stadiums and circuits. The game also has an 8 player multiplayer mode, where you can share in the carnage online.

The physics of the game is also incredibly lifelike, and driving each monster truck truly feels heavy. With the DualSense controller of the PS5, we're sure this will get even more lifelike.
