Milestone has released an official Monster Energy Supercross game for the last six consecutive years, culminating with Supercross 6 last year. Now, it looks like the Hot Wheels Unleashed developer is taking a break from the franchise.
The official Supercross games have always been released in February or March after the official championship kicks off in January, but a new game wasn’t announced for the 2024 championship. To make up for this, MX vs ATV Legends has received a surprise 2024 Monster Energy Supercross Championship DLC pack.
Monster Energy Supercross circuits coming to MX vs ATV Legends
MX vs ATV Legends’ 2024 Monster Energy Supercross DLC will add all 16 circuits from the 2024 season, starting with Anaheim, San Francisco, San Diego, Anaheim 2, Detroit, Glendale, and Arlington on 20 February.
After that, the remaining eight tracks will unlock four days before the real-life racing event. Here’s when every circuit will unlock:

Pricing for the 2024 Monster Energy Supercross Championship DLC has yet to be confirmed.
Alongside the DLC, THQ Nordic is releasing Supercross Special Boxed Edition, which includes the base MX vs ATV Legends game with all past and future free updates as well as the official 2024 Monster Energy Supercross Championship DLC. Priced at £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 /, the physical edition doesn’t have a release date yet but it will presumably arrive after every circuit has unlocked.
Has Milestone lost the Monster Energy Supercross licence?
With MX vs ATV Legends getting 16 tracks from the 2024 championship, it seems that Milestone has lost the licence for the Monster Energy Supercross game series. This comes after the MXGP game licence was taken over from Milestone by KT Racing, with the French studio working on a new 2024 MXGP game.
However, Milestone will continue to make official MotoGP games until at least 2026 after the studio’s partnership was extended, so we can expect MotoGP 24 to arrive this year. With Milestone losing the Supercross and MXGP licences, the Italian studio doesn’t have any other racing games slated for 2024 yet, so there could be some surprise announcements this year.
